india must think about warning of steve smith

Sydney: Ahead of such a high-voltage semi-final contest against India, Australia's batsman Steve Smith on Tuesday mentioned India's goal to play on a expected Australian being exposed against the short ball could backfire on the defending champions.

Pakistani fast bowler Wahab Riaz's sensation spell in the quarter-final urged a number of people, led by former Pakistan captain and 1992 World Cup successful member Inzamam-ul-Haq, to say the left-armer had exposed an Australian weak point against short and express bowling.

Australia's future captain is adamant they do not have any headaches in general against short stuff and concerns the ploy will work at the Sydney Cricket Ground.

"I don't think so. A couple of guys have got out to the short ball and that is just part and parcel of the game. You have got to get out some way," Smith was quoted as saying by The Sydney Morning Herald.

"For us, we are expecting them to come out and potentially bowl a little bit too short for this wicket. If they try and jam them on this wicket, it might suit us with these quick boundaries. It could play into our hands," he added.

About his existing form, Smith said: "I didn't feel out of form. I just felt like I was out of sync a little bit with a few of my motions

"But that's back, my swing's back where I want it to be, so hopefully I can continue crunching India around the park."

The 25-year-old now marks his guard just outside leg, an approach he admits has stumped some teammates during the World Cup.

"I ask for leg stump and then I just pull it this way a little bit (towards leg side), so there is a mark in the middle of nowhere out there," he said.

"It has fooled a few people, 'Pup' (Clarke) came out... and said 'what's going on out there?"

Jayawardne and sangakara a long journey and fantastic one

Sangakara n jayawardne both are retired from one day internationals which they have announced before cricket world cup 2015 and they already have retired from  T20 internationals in fantastic way.

Which they haven't succeeded in one day internationals  today srilanka have lost the important quarter final against south Africa but in my views no regrets for srilanka n both legends of srilanka.

They have excellent cricket in this worldcup and both players all over their career. I think they have served their country for long period of time and grabbed many records.

Best of luck for srilankan team and both legends of srilanka.

Pakistan replay's to critics n Brian Lara

In Pakistan match with south Africa of pool B in cricket worldcup 2015 Australia n new zealand Pakistan have shown a character that what fire they have n what fear they can create in this worldcup .

Pakistan have replied solid statement by their performance against south Africa that they have enough firepower to destroy any good opposition in this worldcup that team reminds of 99's team of Pakistan which knows how to attack.

Pakistan also have to do the same they have to go only for kill else nothing. As pakistan is famous for their stunning cricket style . hope they will play same intelligent and attacking game in future matches for worldcup.
