Mitchell Johnson

bowler to watch in ashes 2015

He was the tormentor-in-chief for England last year, a series which triggered the downfall of the English team. His intimidating pace was too hot to handle for the Poms and his accurate line and length made him an even more lethal weapon. While the Aussies would be expecting an encore from their champion speedster, it is yet to be seen whether Johnson can repeat his performance from the last Ashes series, a tournament where he scalped 37 wickets

James Anderson

Despite being rated as one of the premier bowlers in modern day cricket, Anderson has failed to live upto the expectations as a result of inconsistency. When in full rhythm, Anderson is a treat to watch and England will have massive expectations from their speedster. The 32-year-old went past 400 Test wickets in May this year and the team management would want him to add plenty of more wickets to his kitty. How England will perform against Australia will depend a lot on the way Anderson will bowl.

Mitchell Starc

He wasn't as deadly as Mitchell Johnson in the previous Ashes, but without a doublt, Strarc has been the most improved pacer in the last one year. Such has been his form that his senior compatriot Johnson was forced to take a back seat as he continued to take wickets. If England have to win back some pride for the fans, they will have to play Starc really really well.

Mark Wood

Despite having played just two Tests so far, Wood is being hailed as one of the dangerous bowlers to watch out for in the series. Ever since he made his debut against the Kiwis earlier this year, he has won praises from the stalwarts with his ability to reverse swing the ball by pitching it up. He picked nine wickets in the two-match Test series against New Zealand and it's a golden opportunity for the youngster to become England's hero by helping them regain the Ashes.

Josh Hazlewood

He might be new into the world class Australian set up, but Hazlewood is a bowler who makes life miserable for the best of the batsmen with his impeccable line and length. He already has 24 wickets to his name from 5 Tests, but considering the fact that he is being compared with the legendary Glenn McGrath, the 24-year-old will have to earn a name for himself by shining in an Ashes series.
